Even though Becky was a brat, I still liked her (the first one anyway). The second girl to play the Becky role was terrible and made me realize just how much I liked the original!

wow, hard to believe this came out in 1988. I always thought it started in the early 90's. But 1988, I was only a year old at the time. No wonder why I don't remember any of the early seasons.

roseanne isnt really lower class, they live in a 2 story house and obviously they dont starve, they have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, i would burn down an orphanage to get what they got.

You obviously didn't comprehend my comment or you didn't read the whole thing. They were considered lower-middle class or "blue collar". The layout of the house or amount of food in it doesn't matter, the kids are disrespectful and ungrateful after the parents worked O/T and 2 jobs to make their life better than when they grew up. And leave the orphans alone, they have a tough enough life as it is without someone burning their home down.
