My god, I never heard of The Residents before but as soon as I watched this it felt very familiar. Then I realised that I saw this video many years ago though I can't remember when.
This was one of those videos that only came on the late night music show Rage (in Australia) that when I watched it as a kid it was something that could only happen at night time programming and make me feel all weird.
It was kind of like that for me. When I first saw a Residents video I had this incredibly weird sort of deja vu feeling. Looking back, I realize I'd probably seen dozens of allusions mage by other artists...
