The rule in the NW is no matter what season or month you go camping, it will rain at least one day. Usually on the day you come home, so you end up packing everything wet. Then you get the chore of unpacking and drying your tarps and tents.

I've been insuring my truck with an unnamed insurance company for about a year now, and because I'm 20 and have testicles and an 8-cylinder motor, I paid about $200 a month for state-minimum liability coverage. I called a few other companies and got similar quotes. I decided to call Pemco today just because their radio ads are classic, and they quoted me $73 per month for MORE coverage. I went ahead and threw in comprehensive too, and it's still less than half. I should buy local more often.
