Oh , I believe it , Didn't they have wire wrapped around each element ,end to end? The a-99 by solarcon was the only antenna I could put up in my CB day's due to being so close to the power lines. When I got my general ham ticket I used it on 10,12,15,17 meters and believe it or not it was actually resonant with no tuner!
I could never understand why hams laugh in between words and sentences too. For example "This is Mark..ha..ha..ha..the XYL is getting dinner ready..ha..ha..ha....weather is pretty good today..ha...ha..ha..ha..."
Well said, Burt! As an avid HF ham operator, it's refreshing to see somebody speak the truth about the stupidity that most of the HF dorks emit, and equally refreshing to see the ham geeks cry about the fact that you dare mention it. Keep up the good work!
Look at what you just wrote . If you had "75,000" watts, it would be a transmitter / amplifier the size of those used for broadcasting. One that would need three phase power and its own building .Now there *are* some people who have that stuff but, you don't seem to have the brains to even be able to load finals let alone write a coherant sentence. Please stop making an ass of yourself.

You've "heard 5 year old's have passed code". Hearsay is BS, give facts.
Why are you an extra class ham? I haven't heard one thing about operating that you feel is worthy of even doing.
Is an electrical engineer worthy if they don't know code?
You give Amateur Radio a bad name.
DEATH TO THE CONTESTERS!
