Benni, take it from an old fart like me who remembers. Burroughs was a cynic who was critical about America when it was "politically incorrect" to besmirch our culture and its leaders. Things are a bit different today. If you are an outspoken critic of our foreign policy, for example, you probably have nothing to fear.
