why would this guy accept a post within an organization he does not believe exists?

This guy is an asshole.

The U.S cant even control two countries in the mid east what would make Bolton think they could ever take on the rest of the world. So unrealistic, the U.S is merely a nest egg for other countries its been like that though history. Now everybody is putting there eggs in china. Like a rolling stone.

A. He is not saying the USA is trying to take on the world.

B. They turned a dictatorship into a emerging democracy in Iraq..Afghanistan isn't part of the mid east.

C. Western Europe excluding the UK has almost no moral standing in the world. They are only too happy to let eastern Europe fall victim to a resurgent Russia for example or deal with dictators long after the excuse of containing the USSR became redundant.
