since the modular is discontinued why in the world can't we have a version of this without limitations?

There's gotta be a way to hack this so you can have the 'greyed out' functions.... right?

Nope, the demo is fully functional , tried it and it works like a charm. Simpler than Reason and with thousand of free presets to load. Why wait?

The demo has it's limits. If you work on some more complicated patches, the true G2 is much better, because it has the chips and doesn't eat up your computer's resources - and first of all, you get decent audio outputs. The demo software is still amazing too.

You don't need to stuck in front of a computer screen with Nord Modular , the presets are seperate synths which will take centuries to explore and you dont need the editor for these. None stops from making amazing sounds with this synth without touching a mouse .

I am planning on buying one and use the editor on very rare cases. I understand that there are already thousand so presets which emulate any synth imaginable. So why bother ?

Hi,

I have a G2x. I think you are probably a little misinformed about the synth. I think it would be a pity for you to buy this expecting it to be something it is not.

You can make it sound reminiscent of other gear, but it won't sound the same. It can sound very good, though.

A modular (any type) is really made best by exploring patching.

The best aspect of the synth is the interface. I find the interface makes a big difference when it comes to making music with the synth.
