My Dad is in hospital now having gone in with kidney failure.

He was treated with antibiotics, which have reduced the kidney trouble but have given him c diff, unfortunately.

I am hoping and praying that he pulls through with it naturally, but what else can we do I wonder?

It is so difficult and hard to deal with-help please soon!

You should make shure that he is receiving metronidizole and if after a few days the symptoms are still there ask if he can recieve vancomiacin (its more expensive but more effective in serious cases ) Also ask if his white cell count is raised and if you find that it is ask the consultant directley !!!! What is your plan for my dad!!!!!

My mom is in the hospital now with c-diff. She went in a few weeks ago for knee surgery! The doctors now tell us she has to have her colon removed for any chance of survival now! Colostomy bag for 6-months(if she survives surgery) and then-maybe-they can reconstruct her colon. Oh my! We need God's help!

i went on antibiotics for bronchitus and ave had black squirts for a month from it, and intense pain, anemia, joint pain and inflamation, and depression. im being tested for c deficile and celiacs now im in calgary ab and 33 year old female- i think this is the 2nd time they did this to me

I AM FIGHTING THIS SO HARD. GOT IT IN THE HOSPITAL BACK IN MAY. iT IS NOW SEPTEMBER AND i JUST GOT DIAGNOSED AGAIN 2 DAYS AGO. I HAVE CROHN'S DISEASE. WAS PUT ON FLAGYL FOR THE 1ST ROUND OF C-DIFF. THEN VANCOMYCIAN FOR THE 2ND ROUND. NOW WAS JUST PRESCRIBED VANCOMYCIN AGAIN THAT I HAVE TO TAKE FOR THE NEXT 40 DAYS. I AM ONLY 50 YEARS OLD. MY QUALITY OF LIFE IS HORRIBLE NOW. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FUNCTION FOR 4 MONTHS. HAS ANYONE EVER SUED A HOSPITAL FOR THIS? I THANK GOD I AM ALIVE. BUT AM I?

I too have this awful bug. I have been fighting it for so long. Doctors have not been able to nip it in the bud, so I just don't know what to do anymore. Antibiotics just make it worse, and I am in so much pain and sh*tting liquid all the time. HELP!

I am 13 and have c diff and I apreciate this video alot. The pain hurts badly and even worse I wont eat or drink anything cuz that make me want to have dihearea. I had to get stool samples and it is the most embarassing worst experiences of my life and i dont wish this upon anybody and also I feel for anyone that has it or has had it.

Thank you for this video. My Father died from C Diff on the 29th of October 2011. He went into the hospital with an infection in his lungs, and then developed C Diff. If you do read up on C Diff. You will find that it because of unsanitary conditions in the hospital. Regualr "Bleach" will kill C Diff. If the hospitals began using bleach to clean with this could be stopped.. My best friend and Father is dead because of a lack of knowledge by those who think they are Gods!

Just want to add,

For anyone going through this,

I wish you all the best!! I would not wish this on even my worst enemy!! (if i had one). And I am hoping that the pain goes away soon.

This whole thing has been just AWFUL :(
