At a John McCain rally in Woodbridge, Virginia, three people handed out "Obama for Change" bumper stickers with the Communist sickle and hammer and the Islamic crescent, saying Obama was a socialist with ties to radical Islam. Several moderate McCain supporters, Muslim and Christian alike, struck back.

If you're Muslim and you're a republican, then you're out of your goddamn mind. However, if you still choose to be a right-winger in a party in which AT LEAST 30% of the people openly show their disdain for you, then I have little pity. You knew what you were in for.

However, try coming to a democratic rally. You won't find a home of ethnic and religious intolerance at our functions.. However, If it pops up because some nutjob is there, rest assured said nutjob wouldn't be there for long.

In 2008 this was probably how some proud loyal American Muslims thought they could best show their support for their country, by acquiescing to the right wing hegemony. Now that the McCain sore losers have created the Tea Party & insist on using the name of Muslims & Islam to insult the president I think the choice in 2012 will be a lot easier for them to make.
