Yes, the band is "Amorphous Androgynous" which is actually FSOL, just under a different name. The track you're talking about is "Liquid Insects" off the debut album "Tales of Ephidrena."

My brother wiped my tape of this and I never knew the name of this music. so glad to hear it again thank you. also on this tape was trance from the same period with sound bytes from the movie predator. Does anyone know what that music was called?

i remember reading an interview with them around the time of lifeforms. smoking dope played a big part with them and anyone that doesnt think so is being very naiive.
