OK, first of all, try some research and get your facts straight before you leave such posts. The deveopment of DNA as evidence while Krone was on death row for 10 years PROVED him innocent. Unfortunately, there are people on death row who are in fact INNOCENT. It is a major debacle within our judicial system; one that needs to be corrected before another innocent person is convicted, sentenced, and even executed!

So, you believe in executing an innocent man so he doesn't "clog" or courts with his appeals?
Our founding fathers also added something called "due process" to the consitution in 1791; everyone is entited to a trial. And why do we conduct a trial instead of just doling out punishments? To ENSURE the guilty are pentalized and the INNOCENT are NOT.
The 5th Amendment of the constitution reads: "No person shall be ... deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law ...."

Furthermore, intercourseman69, I assume if you were wrongly accused of murder, then you wouldn't dare to appeal the sentence in an effort to save tax payers money and not "clog" our judicial branch with an unnecessary "death match." How thoughtful of you.

i dont think the millions of dollars he got was enough, they should have sent the entire prosecution team to prison for 10 years and see how they like it. and this is only 1 case. imagine all the innocent people in prison right now who didnt get lucky like thsi guy

Ray's experience here should be a lesson to all how a flawed system can bring innocent people to a death sentence. Just think it could happen to you. Truth does not always prevail. The government officials know it. They just dont care. They have a career to maintain at all costs....even death. A 1st year ASU law student told me he switched his major. Because he had already learned how flawed it is. Jingle Jangle tells the story of one mans horror in a free society.

Sad but true. Many prosecutors are more concerned with improving their win/loss record than whether or not someone is guilty.
