http://www.wilmultimedia.com/Wilner.html Jean Claude Duvalier and Michele Bennet Wedding. May 25, 1980. Jean-Claude (Baby Doc) Duvalier (born 1951) succeeded his father, François (Papa Doc) Duvalier, as president-for-life of Haiti in 1971. He ruled with less of his father's repression but was deposed February 7, 1986. Living in exile in France, he grew increasingly destitute, having mismanaged much of the wealth he allegedly took out of Haiti.

From what I've read, it was Michele herself who was behind much of the effort to embezzle money from the nation of Haiti. When she left Port-au-Prince in 1986, she was officially the richest woman in the world, with bank accounts totaling an estimated $986 Million U.S. Dollars. Of course, a great deal of that sum was frozen up in the courts after her arrival in France. But, at least for a few weeks, Michele was among the richest of the rich in the world as it was in 1986.

FUN FACT in the game Assassins Creed the Haitian dictator François Duvalier who ruled Haiti before Jean Claude Duvalier from 1957 until his death in 1971. The true cause of his death was that he actually taken out by an Assassin!! No I'm not kidding fellow Assassins Creed fans will remember he was featured in a puzzle showing targets throughout history Assassins had taken out. Its interesting to imagine that in the world of Assassins creed there's actually a Assassins Guild in Haiti!
