Finding the "nahom" inscription is fascinating.

Of course, all active Latter-day Saints know that the only real converting power comes from the Holy Spirit.

But once you have gained a testimony for yourself, it is fun to see more and more evidence come forth as time goes on.

The altars show that the Nehemi were in around the same place in 600bc that they were in the middle ages and today. To say that Nehemi only refers to a tribe and not the locale is to say that Nehem has alaways been a place name, except during the time of Lehi.

Critics also fail to mention what the altars in Yemen actually say. They refer to the donor, "Biathar, son of X, son of y, son of z, Nhmi." To say that Biathar wasn't from a place called Nehem, just because it is the tribes name is like saying that Judea isn't a region, but only a people or that Abu Masab Al Zarqawi wasn't from a town called Zarqawa.

Also, critics fail to point fail to mention Nahom's real world correlation between other locales, as described in the BoM, Jerusalem and Dhofar. Those are really good correspondences, especiallly since omani's had been building ship in that region from about the time of Lehi.

Critics appeal to vowel differences between Nehem and Nahom, but Nephi was a hebrew speaker, the vowels must have been different if the name was being adopted by these hebrew speakers. To say Nehem and Nahom aren't the same is like saying Musa of the Koran isn't Moshe of the Bible; different languages, different vowels, same name.

You silly Marmons, lol. Don't you know that Nehem ain't Nahom. Is like when one of them muslim boys told me about the Koran, he tried to tell me that it speaks of biblical prophets. I said: "now look here buddy,Musa aint Moshe(Moses),Nuh aint Noach(Noah),Isa ain't Yeshua(Jesus), Yusuf ain't Yosef(Joseph)and Ibrahim ain't Abraham". You see, Mohamed got the vowels wrong just like ole' Joe Smith.

"Nuh aint Noach(Noah)," "You see, Mohamed got the vowels wrong just like ole' Joe Smith"

how far does your understanding go?

do you tell them this Noah isn't the same as this Noe?

Luke 17:27

"They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that NOE entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. "

Genesis 7:1

"And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; ."

LOL, that "silly Marmons" post was an attempt a parody. I haven't found a good rebuttal to Lehi's trail. How could it be rebutted? The BoM says xyz existed in 600bc and lo and behold, xyz did exist and does.

"It's possible that Joseph Smith lucked out in the naming of Nahom, but it seems to me the chances of that are vanishingly low"
