As of last year, Ron Paul's networth is close to 4 million dollars and the fact that he can get on TV discussing his views regarding politics I think makes him one of those rich bastards. Maybe not the richest of those bastards but he is one never the less. The greatest 'tool' Ron Paul has (besides appealing to young voters to revert back to a pre WW1 view on economics and foreign policy) is that he appears to be this rogue element that wants an American revolution.

America is the greatest country in the history of the world, we have done things and continue to do things that have defined and grown civilization's view on the role of the state. Instead of tearing down the greatness our country let continue to grow it.

After seeing what hell the VA hospitals were no, the government is just another corporation bought up and will do the bidding of the old insurance companies. The government needs less power, I think legalizing pot and cutting spending would be smarter. Healthcare right now with the war on drugs and imperialism abroad would not work. People don't want healthcare through that only 2% of the pop will used the public option that are under 65. But the insurance companies need to adapt to the market.

then why are insurance companies fighting so hard to block legislation that will only effect 2% of the population? what do they care about something that will only benefit people who can't afford health insurance in the first place? you do realize that 54% of americans favor the public option? that's a higher percentage than obama won by. and most doctors favor that option too. its only enemies are the ones who actually profit from the health care system as it is
