Steam disk turbine - Tesla turbine

At my shop 3 of the 5 machinist fabricators were yelling "shut it down!" they had never heard a tesla turbine like yours or my new one! LOL! Keep going any help just holler, my vid response turbine is 4 plates yours must have some output. I turned 26v at 1.2amps with a DC scooter motor.

this uses a lot more energy than it produces. The stove top is running at least around 1200 watts and the power from the steam "engine" is about 200 watts. Stupid and dangerous 1800 era technology.

Ya but hook one with a centre vent up to a 100 feet of h2o head and you have power without paying a cent. Charges my gear in the bush, high pressure steam is what makes most industrial turbines work and there are Tesla turbines in use both openly and in closed projects. Bad topic for you to ridicule and that can affect some folks health so -5 on you ethics Dr.

If you knew much about physics and carnot's limit, then you'd realise that even were you right with your power estimates, this wouldn't actually be that bad for a tiny little turbine like that. Large power stations are doing really well to get 45 % efficiency. Many can't even reach that. So don't open your mouth if don't know wtf you're talkin about.

@drmichaelbellamy I think you are underranting tesla`s turbine eficciency? just like they did ages ago...

EXCELLENT!!! I've been wanting to build a BIG version of this  for years. Thanks to some foresite, I have a FULL machine shop, at my disposal, plus a very talented welder!! BWAHAHAHA!!! Combined with my 14' solar concentrator, and a "few improvements", the power company can kiss my kiester!! (BTW- I live 15 miles OFF GRID!!!!) Solar-Thermal, it's a thing of beauty, man.

i want to see the one where the pressure cooker explodes & give the cameraman 100% 2nd degreeburns, cos i bet hes naked jerkin goff to it
