Ray and his family were my next door neighbours when they lived in Rawtenstall. Such a nice man.

RIP Ray.

Hi Tricia,Tony, well to say the news is a shock is a massive understatement. Ray to me was a man of immense talent, fierce intelligence, huge compassion and humility. I will always remember the many journeys we took to see him up in Rawtenstall and Waterfoot and the crazy escapades that ensued. I am privileged you introduced me to such a wonderful and talented human being and will never forget the happy times we all shared to together. RIP Ray ave a drink for us..

watching this in new york. Thanks for posting. I used to read his cartoons in the NME on the bus going to punk rock gigs. Brings back lovely memories. It's a joy to see his paintings and that he had a go in colour. Am sad. Would love to see more close ups if possible. God bless.

Ray was the man, man. His work needed to be seen and just when it was...how like him to leave the stage before the applause. Good night Ray - yes, I loved you - you knew it.

I cannot believe the news. I'm so sorry for your loss. Just as he is getting his big break and the recognition he deserves.
Take care Tony and Tricia. RIP Ray.
