retarded scientists... Well if you need a boat in order to power the propelers.. Well, why don't they tow it with the boat, thus saving the money for the propelers and a power generator.. scientists?

a few reasons i can think of,
(*not slagging or trolling or flaming*)

the cost of fuel in dragging a net is immense, honestly my family are fishermen.

damage to the fish possibly,

and dragging a net you have no control, i.e. rocks or debris on the floor maybe ?

i would like to buy 200 of these, and put them into the Ocean, one of these can maybe hold 5,000 to 25,000 avg fish.

now you can feed and make alot of money with this and rebuild the ocean

this is really the future, i hope we stop farming stright from the ocean its bad

Industrialize the oceans? seems to me that would pushing the envelope a little to far.

There has to be a better way to feed the hungry.

This is another remarkable step in the progress of deep open ocean aquacultural technology to provide our hngrry world with healthy seafood in a manner than does not damage our oceans nor their stakeholders. Brian O'Hanlon, CEO & Founder of Open Blue Sea Farms, worked with MIT and it was at his facility in Puerto Rico where the tests were conducted.

This is great, we can now stop destroying mangroves that protect coastlines for unhealthy fish farms.
