I support you overall, but your father's day speech rubbed me rough. Bishop Ulmer at Faithful Central said something some father's day ago. "The child is due a relationship with both parents. The father should want it and the mother should allow it." I hope your wounds heal from your childhood with your father not being present. My father was very present, and it hurts Black fathers who are and have been always present to hear they are not doing a good job on their day... Father's Day.

I saw that speech, and didn't interpret it the way you did. To me he was saying that we need MORE fathers to step up, he was not condemning all fathers as being bad.

I hope he supports fathers legal child custody and support initiatives. I'm tired of just talk, lets change and support our fathers not just mothers.

End the media negative portrayal of fathers, change the laws. Allow fathers to be there for the kids.

I am impressed with your insight, and respect for balancing fatherhood with the gravity of what you are doing and becomming. Looks like your oldest got your wife's looks. Is she just as sassy? ;-)

A politician that resembles an actual person? Thats a new concept. I pray this man is our next commander in cheif. America needs change. In alot of ways our nation is still divided. If Mr. Obama is elected, it would definetly help close that divide.

As a Black this Fathers Day I ask in addition to bringing African American troops immediately from the battle zones, what in addition would you do to alleviate the racial problems created by the lack of democracy for Blacks and other minorities in America. W.Ellis, uaadcorpcom
