The history of the AMV Look What You've Done,
This AMV took me about three months to finally finish. With the song that I knew would pay off in the end the hard part was the very slow first two and a half minutes, I knew the final minute and half would be the eye catcher of that would clinch the video. I decided to use most of the drama of the series in the fist half of the video using it as a build up for the second half of the video. After fighting with myself on whom to base the AMV off of I decided to use Monte Cristos manipulation of Albert. The lyrics of the song made so many things easy Lyric-Take my photo off the wall much of the series storyline comes from the characters of the past with memories based off a picture on Alberts wall. The song is also preformed with piano, Jullian who is Alberts love interest plays the piano continuously in the series. With 24 Episodes in the series run I needed to try to incorporate all of the video. The song happened by quincidance it would play at the job I worked at the same time that I was watching Gankutsuou. In the end I decided to give the video and opening and closing with the though that it would help the overall storyline.
Further history
One of my favorite stories of all time is from Alexandre Dumas, père's classic French novel, Le Comte de Monte-Cristo (The Count of Monte Cristo). In October 2004 Animax and TV Asahi premiered the Gonzo released Anime series Gankutsuou : The Count of Monte Cristo which was loosely based off of the story. The animation contained unusual visual style layers Photoshop textures into digital animation, with backgrounds often rendered in 3D. The series features several famous pieces of classical music as well that made the drama outstanding in its delivery. Gankutsuou is set in the far future, during the year 5053, whereas Alexandre Dumas's original novel takes place during the 1800s. Though Gankutsuou incorporates elements of science-fiction and fantasy, it also retains many aesthetics of France in the 1800s, particularly in regard to social classes and wealth. In addition, each of the episodes begin with a summary spoken in French. Trying to escape his uneventful life, Albert, the son of a renowned general from Paris, makes a journey with his friend Franz. During his travels, he meets an immensely wealthy nobleman named The Count of Monte Cristo. Living in luxurious hotels, surrounded by beautiful women and strong bodyguards, the charming but enigmatic count fascinates Albert. Albert invites the count to join the high society of Paris. However, unknown to Albert, his father had once framed the count and took the Count's fiancee as his own. The song happened by quincidance it would play at the job I worked at the same time that I was watching Gankutsuou.
Look What You've Done Lyrics
Take my photo off the wall If it just won't sing for you 'Cause all that's left has gone away And there's nothing there for you to prove
Oh, look what you've done You've made a fool of everyone Oh well, it seems likes such fun Until you lose what you had won
Give me back my point of view 'Cause I just can't think for you I can hardly hear you say What should I do, well you choose
Oh, look what you've done You've made a fool of everyone Oh well, it seems likes such fun Until you lose what you had won
Oh, look what you've done You've made a fool of everyone A fool of everyone A fool of everyone
Take my photo off the wall If it just won't sing for you 'Cause all that's left has gone away And there's nothing there for you to do
Oh, look what you've done You've made a fool of everyone Oh well, it seems likes such fun Until you lose what you had won
Oh, look what you've done You've made a fool of everyone A fool of everyone A fool of everyone

okay, this kinda pisses me off. i just want the song. can't find it. i dont want it acoustic, i dont want it live, i dont want a cover, i just want the friggin song. urs is the closest ive come, so thank you, but you have to click on a link, and then move in like 30 seconds before it starts, and then there is the random japanese at the end. grrr. but thanks.
The anime is badass. Screw Code Geass and Death Note, this anime is the best of all time(with FMA being a very close second). If you think about it, Code Geass kinda had some of the elements of Count Of Monte Cristo in it.
