In 1988 I visited Thailand for the first time and started to follow Thai politics. In those days it was Chatchai and ever since nothing has changed. Thai politicians are rotten to the core and corrupt, all of them. And Taksin was no exception.

the truth is, taksin offended the king and the king agreed to get rid of him. This is what a friend of mine told me, she is a mom luang(aristocrat). And taksin can only return to Thailand after the king's death. To tell the truth, the king never liked taksin. During his speech, the king always implicitly criticized him. Taksin maybe a good statesman, but he's just too arrogant in his conduct. Anyway, vajiralongkorn will not be the next king, Prince Chatri Chalerm Yukol will be the next king.
