How many people were in tax court when this protest was going on? Do you think the juries in those cases could have used some information about what their rights are? Sure, we felt good about ourselves for talking amongst ourselves and a few people in the general public, but did we reach out and help our tread upon brothers? ....No, I am ashamed to say... Did Paul suggest that, as a course of action for those who wish to be effective? I don't know. I am not done watching... I doubt it.

how could you say someone is for completely getting rid of government who is running for the highest position in it? He is for getting the government out of our lives. keep them from meddling in our personal affairs. the point of the american government according to the constutution is just that. keeping us from being oppressed by the Gov. if we become dependent on gov then we become there slaves.

Paul's personal beliefs inform his politics. Listen to him talk about abortion. If you don't let personal moral beliefs/convictions guide your decision making as an elected official then you will be a Constitution-hater like most of the clowns in Washington today.

I agree they would not make the best running mates and paul would more than likely pick someone closer his values. The point i was making was I asked why ventura makes you sick and the reasons you gave were making the point that paul disagrees with him. I in turn thought you were soley disagreeing with ventura because he doesnt see eye to eye with paul. Which you still seem to be meshing the issues together to me. as far as pauls politics I believe the constitution informs them not his religion.

Well since the Constitution was written by people who shared his religion (except for 3 Deists who held the Bible in high regard anyway), they intersect a lot. I disagree with Ventura because of his negative comments about religion being a crutch. He's right to a point although he was being negative:
Religion is a "crutch", but crippled people need crutches. My point is that although he and Paul have some things in common, there are much better people for the job.

I agree with others being a better option than Ventura. As far as our founding fathers having the same reliigious views as paul I dont think that is correct. Most were Masons, Athiests, but some christians running from the catholic church. but i guess that is up for debate. Im not meaning to be disrepectful here just trying to say that there are many views here that can be explored. I disagree with the idea that "christianity is the end all and if you dont believe it youre wrongl."

Founding Fathers is a very specific term. 55 of them to be exact, 52 Christians, 3 Deists.

Brown shirts... you must be refering to the Obamites here cause the constitution is what formed this country not a political party.

it is... but my point is that he and Paul have significant differences on issues, which is why Ventura would not be the best running mate for him. Ventura said religion is a crutch, Ron Paul frequently quotes the Bible, the church fathers, and is an active church member. Jesse Ventura believes the 9/11 Conspiracy theories, Ron Paul has denied them.
