Joseph Smith had very positive opinions of black people, saying, among other things, that if they'd had the same opportunities and resources as whites, they'd do fine and even outshine some whites. He also ordained several black men. He was put into a dangerous spot when the Mormons started moving into areas that had been settled by southerners and the issue of slavery heated up. Most people back then believed some unfortunate, unscientific things. The Cain doctrine was only one example.

Saying YOU WHITES assumes that non FLDS support this FLDS doctrine. The LDS church does not. This extremism was born out of the early Mormon doctrine, but few believe as Warren did!
