The Bluetones - Expecting To Fly (Astoria, 19th Dec 2008)

The Neil Young song (originally recorded by Buffalo Springfield, I believe) as performed at Astoria on 19th Dec 2008. Nice to see Scott get to do some lead vocals on this.

Brilliant cover by a fantastic band! Neil Young's influence on their own music has always be evident.

Kudos for trying, but your version has no heart or soul - totally commercialized. For a version where the artist gets it, see Emily Haines' version where she is alone in a radio studio with no effects. Your version is like when Judas Priest did a fast version of a Joan Baez song lol.

not really sure if I dig that they played this as a fast song but it's good to see someone cover a Buffalo Springfield song.
