Ohhh! This made me cry! We just lost our 15-year-old border collie, Panda. She was better company than most people, and we loved her so much. What an intelligent, amazing, awe-inspiring breed these dogs are.

Well, it's pretty simple really. The Sheep is a prey animal, and the dog is the predator. You don't have to bite or show teeth to appear threatening, just use body language. Watch how the dog moves and stares at the sheep, it's very similar to the way a wolf would stalk an elk before giving chase. The sheep recognizes this body language to be a threat, and reacts according to it's instincts to run even though the dog did not attack. Body language is the key.

Nice Video :)
Borders are awesome dogs.

p.s some of the comments this video received are a bit scary/sad though. (ex. mr I have a border i didnt know you could train them to herd) ... anyone ever heard of doing a little research before you pick a dog so you can find your best match?
