Religion is the Philosophy of man..
There is no proof that God had anything to do with any books.
God gave man freewill and the wisdom to learn right from wrong.
Man creates his own Heaven or Hell by the choices they make in their lives.
With every action there is a reaction.
Religion was the first form of government using the fear of God to govern the people..
To create order and control.

@ABWEndon He stopped the heathens from worshiping more than 350 clay idols. He stopped the people from burying their newborn daughters in the sand because they were considered worthless. He stopped the heathens from throwing their old, weak, and orphans into the street to beg and fend for themsselves. He stopped the men from taking 20-30 wives, then discard them as useless to a limit of only 4 as long as they could treat them equal. Why would a demon Gabriel stop all that?

Hi Katy and thanks for your reply :)
I think you're missing the point. If it was a demon impersonating Gabriel, then it wasn't Gabriel at all. Demon's have one goal in mind... to stop people from coming to God through Jesus Christ and finding forgiveness for their sins. So if billions of souls are lost because they have been/will be "side-tracked" down a false path, then that's more terrible than anything else that might have happened.

@ABWEndon I don't believe in religion because I think they're all man made. That's not to say I don't believe in an ultimate supreme being. However, Mohammed did more good things than bad by "his" Quran and his religion of Islam which he proclaims to be the one and only religion of the God of Abraham. A lot of bad and evil was/is done in the name of Christianity just as a lot of bad and evil was/is done in the name of Islam, but that doesn't make Jesus or Mohammed bad people.

I didn't say Mohammed was bad. You are right that a lot of evil has been done by people in the name of religion. Likewise a lot of good has also been done in the name of religion. The last words of Jesus were "It is finished!", meaning that God's plan for saving his children from hell and sin was complete. After that point there is no need for anything else and any religions that sprung up after that point only draw people away from God and the correct path and there can only be one path.

@ABWEndon At least 4 billion people alive today, not to mention Native Americans who never heard of Jesus until a few hundred years ago, disagree. We're free to choose our own faith or beliefs, and if Jesus was the only way to God, that is saying all Native Americans for 14,000 years, before being forced to convert to Christianity after Columbus, are in hell. I'm part Cherokee, and I don't believe my ancestors are writhing in hell just because they didn't know who Jesus was.

Invariably non-Christians find it difficult to accept what Christians say because it sounds so harsh but that's due a lack of understanding, so I wanted to reassure that your Native Americans are not in hell! Why? Well, Abraham was considered righteous because he believed in God... which will apply to everyone who was alive "BC". Those who lived/are alive after Christ are in the same position as "BC-ers" UNTIL they hear the Gospel, when they have a chance to either accept or reject the message.
