HK (Heckler & Koch) versus Colt

@kanjanawijit DEVGRU (Seal Team 6) and Delta Force use HK 416s.

But of course, this is an HK presentation and it was obviously rigged for commercial purposes.

Actual tests by Delta Force have shown the 416 has 3 times the reliability of the M4 and that is why they adopted it.

do you see our 'frogmen' wearing a full face shield when they fire their M-4's after they have been in the water? no, so why is this guy? is the HK gas operated? i dont kno much about it. all im saying it that i think there is foul play in this vid

@sgtstupidfreak ah I thought he is wearing the helmet just for fun, when firing a gas operated weapon, which was submerged under water....

ya same here, im not saying one is better then the other, im just saying that if our guys use it in BUD/S and it doesn blow up in every students face, then why is it blowing up now, and why did he put a helmet it on. it seems pretty obvious that he knew it was going to explode like that otherwise he would have been wearing the helmet at all times for 'safety'

since seals been using M4's for a while, when they do amphibious assults, what do they do to keep their weapon from blowing up?

jebus, look into the PWS designs. The piston is an actual integral part of the bolt carrier itself (like the ak47 as an example). And because of this design, the buffer no longer rides down to wear on the tube. They also recommend getting a tungsten buffer, if that helps at all.

thank you sgtstupidfreak!. I'm not bashing on the 416 at all, i've shot it in scottsdale az at the scottsdale gunclub. It's very nice. I definately agree with your statement, he did have the helmet on, cuz he knew it'd blow up, and our SEALS have been using m4's for quite sometime now. I'm not arguing for either or, just stating that i'm not very impressed with the HK416 over the beach test, nor am i pleased with the ACR over the beach test. PWS has a better test, that shows it absolutely.

for those who doubt the 416 tell me why Delta, a tier 1 group who can choose any weapon in the entire world to use, uses the 416? personally i believe there's nothing wrong with the outer design of the M4, its very versatile, but internally its far outdated. the 416 takes the outer strengths of the m4 and corrects the inner weaknesses

meshuggahfan-seeing as how our military uses the M-4 quite a lot in and out of the water and you dont hear of EVERY single one blowing up like that, and the fact that he puts the helmet on before he fires it also makes me so into skeptic mode, along with the video skipping. they could have very easily did something to mess with that weapon. something just doesnt seem right.
