I've been watching the Moore films again and I haven't gotten the smile off my face since the United Artists logo flashed on the screen in Live and Let Die, and I'm just about to finish off A View to a Kill. I don't think the modern Bonds are "bad films" but they lack the joy I got out of the Moore and Connery(and even Lazenby/Dalton) adventures. Bond isn't a serious character(a spy who uses his real name constantly in front of bad guys?) so why do the modern movies obsess about this so much.

Because the cinematic James Bond as originally established is actually a lot more different to the Bond of Ian Fleming's novels than most people realise. Daniel Craig is actually closest to Fleming's novels than most of the other Bonds (Dalton was a bit too close for most people I think ;))

This guy Roger Moore looked too light i mean he looked like he wouldn't hurt a fly instead Sean Connery,Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig they really make you think that they are deadly secret agents. Pierce Brosnan was more like Roger Moore but he was better at least he had more edge but still he looked like a soft guy if you know what i mean.

Skyfall have the best bond intro and is such a great film !!! I think that they talk a lot but when the action comes its great one of best films
