I didn't know until the obits, that he was a Quaker and concientious objector but it seems almost obvious, a genius for simplicity and integrity and a teacher in the truest sense.

I grew up watching Bagpuss, Ivor the Engine and The Clangers. I always loved Oliver's distinctive voice and enthusiasm as he read these wonderful stories. Thanks Oliver. Emily loved him. So did we.
