there's more nostalgia in David's voice than in Simone's, that is why I like his version more, although Simone's is fantastic as well

That is because there is none. The track was recorded for Station to Station (1976), but the video wasn't made until 1981 for the realease of ChangesTwoBowie (a best of album). For some obscure reason the sax-player was included in the video even though there is none on the track.
