This is the beginning of a series in which I will read correspondence between me and people who have questions, comments, or--more often--misconceptions about asexuality. I don't have a set number of these I'm going to do, and I imagine I'll continue to get material for them as life goes on, but I currently have quite a backlog, so you can expect material to last for some time at least. :)
This particular video deals with a man who just didn't get it who messaged me through OKCupid. This is a very abridged selection of our conversation; not all of it was about asexuality, but a good chunk of it revolved around his inability to process it.

You read kind of fast but i can understand that you are upset since he refuses to accept that you are just not interested, but i think that the guy might need theraphy or something if hes so obsessed and just can't take no for an answer.... :/
Yeah, I had to read fast because the limit for YouTube videos is ten minutes, and I couldn't fit the whole relevant part of the conversation in without reading it quickly. ;)
The term is "single-handedly," if you'd like to sound intelligent next time.
And no, I'm not alone in this. You continue to show your ignorance almost like you're proud of it. Asexuality has its own site at AVEN, and an upcoming professional documentary is covering it, and numerous articles and even a legit scientific study have covered the subject. FYI, "asexuality" is also going to be legitimately acknowledged in the next DSM-IV.
Developments are being made toward the next version of the DSM. When I said asexuality is going to be legitimately acknowledged, that means "portrayed for what it is." Currently in the entry for Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder, lack of sex drive is ordinarily looked at as a problem, but it does specify that the sufferer has to be distressed about the lack of sex drive. A clarification about HSDD not being the same as a lack of sexual attraction (asexuality) will help legitimize it.
