It's about a man who finds an old clay pipe whistle while he's on holiday... he summons a spirit unbeknowingly. BBC4 showed this Christmas 2008, it may be on again as well. They sometimes do a Christmas season of ghost story repeats from their archives.

i remember as a child taking a day of school and watching this on BBC 2 i think and this film totally made a massive impression on me, i was thinking of this film about 2 weeks back and now i have found it , its fabulously atmospheric and totally spooky.

i'm 17 years old, an actor and lover of ghost stories.
at my theatre summerschool this year, we did an adaption of this story. it went tits up (through a wardrobe accident), but the story gave me nightmares. This is one of the bestadaptions in history. Thanks sooo much for uploading this. Lost Hearts did the same.

yeah, the girl who was piloting the ghost costume didn't put it on properly and we could see her guns n roses t shirt and her converses 2, it was hilarious lol :P
