But there wasn't a GLOBAL recession at THAT point in time, was there? By comparing these two points in time rather than the record during the lifetime of each government they're trying to Con you.

The Tories kept this lot out for 18years, for that I will always be thankful. The Tories left Labour a lot more than they would be leaving them, including a strong economy and a normal national debt, and a country not merged into the EU. I'd like to see New Labour try to spin their way out of this one. I'd also like to see the BNP try to spin their way away from being a bunch of racist, inward looking raving bigots.
