....hang the chain to cool off for a few minutes. Next, spray gt85 up and down the chain. Use a cloth to rub off any excess. You can lay the chain down on newspaper for the next step,in a long line facing up not on its side. Put a drop of wet lube on each link and leave to work in for a minute before rubbing off excess with a cloth. Install. Cleaning your chain in this manner will get rid of all grit wearing the surfaces and old grease that collects more, extending its life like no other method

...Repeat this washing until no dirt comes out.you can even carefully brush the link plates whilst in its hot soapy bath, using a bit of wire to hook it and flip it over.towel dry and place back into the foil tray without water. Place the tray on the stove on low heat just to evaporate any excess water..15/20 seconds or so......

When you replace your chain next, follow length guides and installation instructions, but incorporate a fast link/quick link. You wont have to use a chain tool and a new hyper gluide pin every time.In this way you can take your chain right off. I place my chain in a wide foil tray not rolled tight but flat down and wide open circles, dish washing liquid dribbled over then hot water. Carefully slide the dish and contents forward and back and watch the grit accumulate at the bottom of the dish...

Yeah, fuck all that, just use a low power jet wash with 'warm water' and some muc-off. GT85 the crap out of the chain dry with towel, done. Don't come back at me with the jet wash bearing seal bullshit. Just don't use it too close you wazzock.

    hmmm

im a bit confused.. in the other videos on using the 'Chain Cleaning Tool' which has degreaser poured inside... this is the only video ive seen a guy rinse the degreaser OFF and drying it with a rag... other videos, they wipe it an apply lube straight away.

is it necessary to wash it, I'm guessing it is because the degreaser in the chains gaps and crevices may react to the newly applied degreaser... correct?
