I absolutely LOVE how Damrau interprets this role. It's like Snow White's evil stepmother meets Imelda Marcos (with her look-alike entourage) on Halloween night.
you should check out Act1 -1 "Le nozze di Figaro (Met'99) - Overture-duet" it has some of the best opera singers in the world in it. now i warn you it is four hours long but well worth the watch. it is my favorite opera of all time. and if you enjoy the magic flute then you should like le nozze de figaro as well.
What on earth do you mean, klaaudio16 - what a silly and childish comment - I made an honest judgment on what I thought were imperfections in what is otherwise a flawless performance of a difficult piece of singing and acting. What is your problem - why do you call me stupid, or are you just a silly child?
well... i apologize anyway you're still stupid you think there is a difference between telling what you think and saying something's true no matter what? hehehe which one of them you think you said??? sorry it's not my fault to be perfect
