my teacher is about 45 lbs lighter than me and still handles me with ease. Physicaly, not magically, he just understands and applies the bodymechanics and biodynamics far better than me....yet ;)
I dont see whats so special about this? Train hard under a legitimate (tai chi, bagua, hsing i, or other IMA lineage) for long enough and these skills are achieveable. This "secret skills" is a marketing/mysticism ploy to "come and train from me" Dont fall for it.
i disagree with you dhalchini. none of such claims have ever been made by any of those mentioned below. and there is something going on in their schools that you do not see elsewhere. go and check it out yourself if you do not believe me. you may be surprised.
for all you haters out there: if you have not trained in this system (that is with ip or gin soon, or students vincent chu, h won gim) then you may not know what you are seeing. most tai chi out there is complete garbage, but not in this house. these dudes train for POWER. the training is intense and their power appears effortless, to the point where the uninitiated appear shocked in disabelief. ive seen chu and gim cross hands and it was one of the most amazing demostrations of peng jing
oh... and this is not about weight distribution or raw physical strength or using physics to ones advantage. this is all about peng jing... the power that these masters dedicate their lives to attaining. very few have it: gin soon, his son vincent, h won gim and maybe a few others. not much more than that though.
physics has yet to fully explain peng jing. (just ask the physicists at the chu (boston) gim (nyc) schools). while it may not be magic, it goes far beyond basic concepts of leverage, relaxation, and alignment.
nice vid, thanks for posting! I really love how clearly you can see the guy on the R using the 5 bows, especially his legs and spine. Some really good skill.
