im not a driver...but yes it is always dark in the tunnel exept for a few tiny lights on the walls of the tunnel which are rarely seen cos there isnt many of em

really? well I was looking at a video on here that was filmed in one of the control rooms. It showed a large digital display and Aldgate East was indicated to be "disused" perhaps it meant the original aldgate east

Aldgate East isn't disused, the refurb is just taking forever :-P

The route to the left at 0:59 is just more tunnel but it goes to Aldgate East.

Ah - thats disused right? It looked dark enough. I prefer Aldwych myself to be honest. That and Charing Cross (the branch)

Can be very noisy, especially in summer when you have a door open, can be VERY noisy!
