March the 8th is International Women's Day. But how much have women in Europe got to celebrate?
Women earn an average of 15% less than men- a figure which rises to 25% in the private sector.
Reducing the gender pay gap is an important topic on the European political agenda.
A new video report from the European Commission Directorate General Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities explains how a number of EU countries are taking actions to try to end discrimination against women in the workplace.

Wage gap?

Women make less money because they work work shorter hours, take less dangerous jobs, seek physically more comfortable jobs, demand more flexibility of hours, and interrupt their careers more often. (They also pursue less demand degrees in the university.)

Unequal pay for unequal work: You can call it wage gap, but over here we just call it common sense.

Goodbye Europe! It's been a fun 2,000 years. Hate to see you go.

As a businessman, if I could hire a woman to do the same job for less money, why would I hire a man?

That would make absolutely no sense.

And if I were some chauvanist pig who hired men and paid them more just because they were men, my competition would take advantage of my chauvanistic weakness to hire the women and use the cost savings to drive me out of the market.

My sexism would end up putting me out of business since my competition could use the labor cost savings to undercut my prices.

Why do men get paid more? To pay for flowers, dinner, movie tickets, gas, jewlery, oh and to pay higher car insurance rates that males receive but women don't.

Wow, are you joking or being serious? If you're being serious then I feel really sorry for the woman who birthed you. Women are not men's servants, but equals. We will only destroy this 25% pay gap when we ban the top 25% of men from participating in the work place. Even then I have my doubts.

At 2:00, the video talks about women's jobs such as day-care as "undervalued." The value of the job the amount that people are willing to pay. If the day-care jobs paid more, men would quit their rough construction jobs and compete with women for these cushy indoor jobs with fixed hours.

All of the cashiers in this video are female. Where are the male cashiers?  There are no counterparts. Men do the heavy re-stocking. A woman may lift a four-pack of beer, but no one will see her loading 50-100 lb cases.

Likewise, men are the product experts. Go to any store, be it hardware or grocery, and ask to find an item. A man will know the exact location by aisle# and shelf location of every item in the store. Ask a woman? She'll walk around and ultimately find a male clerk.

Ah, the old wage gap myth, the greatest tactic to use to change the subject, even though it is based on a lie.

Whenever any man, particularly politicians, mention that men don't get a fair crack of the whip, a feminazi will then say "Wait until women earn the same, then we can talk", and the subject is once again successfully changed from men to women. This is why the lie goes on, everyone that uses the lie knows it's a lie, but they use it to change the subject.

In grocery stores, the cashiers are usually women while the late night stock "boys" (note the sexist term) and butchers are men. They are not doing the same job, and usually, not even during the same hours. If they were paid the same amount, men would flock to the cash registers, and there would be no one left to stock the shelves.
