Thanks to Rustyfan for this great capture. In 1960 Daytona Superspeedway hosted this sportsman race. 68 cars entered into the race, back then there were a maximum of 68 cars in a superspeedway race...

WOW!! These guys are wearing short sleeve SHIRTS. Perhaps a trgedy of sorts might have been better in the long run. It would have hastened NASCAR to demand drivers wear fire retadent suits and other safety related clothing. I mean really, short sleeve shirts? Were they crazy?!? One spark and 37 drivers could have been crispy pieces of burnt toast
