im not sure the guy didnt tap cause he chose to. ther are positions wher ur hands cant tap, and in chokesu cant say stop either. if the ref doesnt stop it something rly bad can happen. the guy at 1.08 looked dead to me. lol the guy who choked him out like didnt care at all about it he cared about thevictory wtf yo
It seems that the people who do something for a long time always have to deal wth new FADS. BJJ is a prime example. If you really know about BJJ and truly are good at it. This comment is not for you. If you just think you know something, look up Mitsuyo Maeda. Paying all due respect to his excellent students Hélio and Carlos Gracie. Marketing geniuses Rorion Gracie and Dana White.
i saw a comment saying the gracies invented the triangle choke... thats bs... the gracies didn't invent anything... they're just good at marketing and lying about their fights... the man who made the triangle choke famous is Tsunetane Oda, a judoka born in the end of 19th century
that is what freaks me out about the gracies...what have they done? they have purified japanese jiu jitsu and judo to pure ground fighting. almost all submissions bjj has i have seen in judo. just notas often, as its main focus is standup grappling. and royce gracie isnt that good of a fighter either. he only faced complete nubs at ufc 1, 2 and so on. he wouldnt survive in todays world of mma.
ken shamrock is one of the best ever no doubt but u gotta realise that he had not a very good groundgame back then. he had outstanding wrestling abilities, but grappling against the gracies wasnt rly smart. he shouldve used his wrestling to get into a position he can ground n pound. i respect him, but seriously look at most of the guys from ufc 1 and onwards to like 4 or 5. complete nubs, had no idea how to really fight.
