How can Hamas seem like a decent alternative? They're a fundamentalist Islamic terrorist group that preaches hate, they send kids out to explode in Israeli checkpoints and cities, they threaten and kill their opposers and have been doing so for the last 15 years at least.

Wanting an alternative to a corrupt government is fine. If nothing decent is available, one should erect an alternative. Electing a terrorist group to be a ruling party is not only flawed logic, it's downright stupid.

I dunno. maybe in comparison to Fatah?
Fatah is no less a terrorist group.
I don't think they have a huge issue with voting for terrorists there...

Yeah, well, I wouldn't elect anyone who sends my kids out to fight their wars for them. I'd go with a corrupt government before I go with a murderous one.

If both are rotte apples they should create a third party! Democracy is all about choosing leaders you can trust to lead wisely.

And the fact is that Palestinians who live under Fatah rule in the west bank have WAY better living conditions than those under Hamas rule. So I still don't get how anyone could view Hamas as the better choice.
