My friend who worked in Florida orange orchards FLIPPED OUT when he saw me put my mouth on an orange peel once. He said the pesticides they spray on them are really scary--the workers won't touch orange peels themselves--so if you're going to do this, use organic oranges, because when you put something in your mouth, the chemicals enter your blood stream quickly.
