A VIA video showing a side by side comparison of a VIA OpenBook mini-note prototype with a VIA Nano 1.3 GHz processor playing a 1080p HD video as compared to an Asus Eeee PC 1000H with an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor. The VIA Nano plays the HD video smoothly and delivers power efficient performance without compromise while the Intel Atom stutters and renders the video unwatchable.

I call BS. Check jkkmobiles video response, showing an Atom running the exact same file on a EEE 901.

It plays the 1080p video just fine.

It's all about the GPU when it comes to video, and the Ram.

You could run 1080p if you paired a good GPU with an ancient Pentium II 250mhz, no joke! Hardware decoding is the shit.

ES TODO MENTIRA ESTE VIDEO. EL VIA NANO NUNCA VA A RENDIR MAS QUE EL INTEL ATOM Y LO SE POR HABER PROBADO AMBOS, INCLUSO EN VIDEOS QUE SON MENOS DE 720P CON EL MISMO REPRODUCTOR INTALADO CORRIA EL VIDEO EN 10FPS CONTRA LOS 24 FPS DEL ATOM, ADEMAS LOS NANO TRAEN VIDEO UNICHROME, MUY MAL RENDIMIENTO, ESAS Y LAS SIS SON MALAS PLACAS DE VIDEO ONBOARD.

And now Acer is already talking about their own version of the IPad, somewhat smaller, but still a competitor. And they might be going into the corporate server business this year, so Acer is moving up, but I bought the Samsungs to try the Via myself. It's not the end of the World. Peace.

Just bought 2 Samsung NC20's with the VIA Nano, and to say the least, they are awesome. At 550.00 a piece, It was worth the extra 200 to get the performance of a Laptop out of the netbook. Peace.

Well, my N270 plays HD videos no problem, and my Vcore reads 1.013V... which I believe is lower than the Nano...
