@TithonusSyndrome: Cannot feed the poor? What of Alternative energy sources? What of fuel efficient vehicles? What of poetry, 2D&3D Art? What of any damned thing man has done for his fellow man? Would you like to know how many, MANY things of this ethereal world of ours will not, and cannot sustain the body? But we are more than that, we mind, we are spirit, and music, my mis-informed friend, is what sustains those aspects of our life. Have you heard of emotion? Songs can invoke them.

From 3:07 to 4:40 is in my opinion some the of the most beautiful music ever created. It is simply wondeful!

This is probably the best recording I have ever heard of this piece. Im assuming that the conductor has some kind of emotional tie to that slow section or something. Honestly the conductor for high level orchestras is really there to run the rehearsals, im pretty sure that people making there living off of this can hold a beat. I think he does a fantastic job.

It'll help, but music can't feed the hungry. Let's not overstate it's abilities, that won't help anyone.
