As a pagan its painful to me that some of my favorite music is Christian. We need to write some great music of our own. Love the tune and the words of this..

It shouldn't be painful! Christian music, just as any music, is very beautiful. I am always saddened when people put down any religion or refuse to appreciate a religion simply because there are those who practice it who do so with a greedy ambition. Christianity is not a bad religion, in fact it is a beautiful and good religion, it is those who have twisted it into something it isn't who soured it. Look at it with a new appreciation.

You are correct of course. I realize that Christian music is a part of my heritage and that Christian Mythology is part of the worlds mythology. Any or all of which I include in my neopagan worldview. Just wish we had more excellant musicians writing music from a modern pagan perspective..

A fabulous idea - using a traditionally Christian song and giving it beautiful Pagan words - well done!
