This is my favorite Connery Bond film. Even more than Goldfinger. Can't get enough of the retro Tokyo setting.

This film is NOT racist. Sexist, maybe in some small ways, but Japan is a sexist nation.

This was the Bond film that needed to show the public that it was NOT the silly Casino Royale film that was released two months before. The producers were concerned that the box office was going to be hurt if they did not do a big campaign. This is why you see throughout the trailer the tagline SEAN CONNERY IS JAMES BOND! Not David Niven or Peter Sellers; and that the film is the continuing series from the makers of Thunderball and Goldfinger.

Through the last 42 years I have heard many critiques about this film, but never have I heard it being racist, let alone almost racist. Exactly what do you mean?

RaftCoveProductions: I'll take a stab -- probably the part where they try to pass Bond off as a Japanese man -- a form of yellowface. Despite this sign of the times, I always enjoyed this picture!
