Thats the whole point of Coldplay = The wierdness in their music. Its diliberatley targeted to an Indie audience which let their music flow away with their state of minds.

I bet that decades from now, Coldplay will be remembered as THE band that changed his generation. 80's had U2, 90's had Radiohead and Nirvana, but the the old kings are dead and last years will be remembered for Coldplay strong, lyrical and overwhelming music. Lost! is a brilliant masterpiece, that moved me more than any other recent songs (even Amsterdam...)
For that and for the rest I say: Chris, your reign is not over yet!
