We have five rescue sighthounds, so I already know what torture they endure, it always shocks me to see it though, and still when I tell people they think I'm lying, if only more people saw these video's maybe something would & could be done quicker, keep up the good work.

Thanks for watching Skyeblue, its not a 'feel good' video..but there again, what in greyhound racing has a 'feel good' aspect to it?

Tell people the RSPCA dont lie, the Sunday Times doesnt lie, the All Parliamentary Group for Animal Welfare doesnt lie, we are all telling the truth. The only liars are those who depend on greyhound racing for money!

Greyhounds are exploited and used and abused just like pit-bulls are, Greys are the gentle giants of the dog world they are lovely and loving. stop the exploitation

human cruelty against animals in western country has become a disgrace in civilized world. britain should stop these types of sports which misuses animals for an gambling industry which kills savegely the innocent animals .

I'm not arguing that it is a valid reason for using them. But dont you think compaiging for better treatment of the animals while they are alive is a better use of your time?

And as I'm a vet student myself, we also use 'cheaply' obtained animals (which have been euthanised at a shelter) for our dissections. I personally believe it is better than being burried in some backyard, at least they will be helping other animals. All I'm saying is do not 'blame' the RVC for it.

I don't consider the exploitation of animals for entertainment or research as a valid argument for their 'use'.

The RVC make millions of pounds treating private client's animals whilst dissecting cheaply obtained greyhounds which have become a waste product of a gambling industry.

Of course I am against simply shooting the dogs or dumping them in a river with a lump of concrete, but if the animals are humanely euthanised and used to teach Veterinary students how to treat and care for animals, surely that is a better way for them to go that the others? Yes, it is still terrible that so many are killed each year, but I wouldnt use the fact that some go to the RVC as an argument.

I must just say, although I am against greyhound racing, I think compaigning for better treatment of the live animals is a better way forward than complaining of the disposal methods. It is an unfortunate aspect of any of these racing industries, horse racing, greyhound racing etc, that there will need to be a 'method of disposal'. Thousands of animals are put down every year as is because there arent enough homes for them and its unlikely 10,000 greyhounds would be able to rehomed every year.
