An unhappy childhood is an artists goldmine and the pits for his dear ones.

He made a great mistake. And he suffered the consequences.

wow he had serious mental issues. poor child.

whenever i watch a movie about Beethoven (Immortal Beloved, Copying Beethoven, or this documentary), or listen to some of his most passionate music (Pastorale Symphony, Appasionata Sonata, 3rd Mvt of 9th Symphony) i cant help but think he had to have been the MOST emotional man who ever lived, his passions were glorious and tragic. i dont think any of us can imagine what his life must have been like through those dark lonely years

I feel bad for everybody, Beethoven, Johanna, and the boy. There is some evidence to suggest that Beethoven's claims that she was an unfit mother were not entirely unfounded but still it's a bit cruel to separate a child from its mother like that.
