46233 Duchess with smoke

I've added a Seuthe smoke unit to an old Hornby Duchess of Sutherland. I've also fitted a resistor to slow the motor down in order to produce more smoke at slower speeds.

Good smoke effect, a couple of questions then if I may?Is it Seuthe 22 or 23 and do you you use a resistor with it?Finally what oil do you use as there seems to be plenty of smoke, is it seuthe oil?

Take care

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, there's no space to extend. About all I could do is re-model it to make it look different. :-(

hi tom, i just bought a smoke unit to fit into my hornby steam loco, i'm having a problem where i have run the loco at very high speed to get it to smoke. can you advise on how you got yours to work? what resistor did you use and how was it fitted into your loco?

Nice one Tom - I like the cynical comments lol. I had a Jinty which smoked nicely - the room got a bit pongy after a bit though...

Thanks Joe, sarcasm is not quite the word I'd use , more like cynicism. :-) But it's great to see someone get the whole joke!
Cheers!
