To all of you younger people who comment on "lip syncing" on these videos from the 1960's,know that the singers "of the day" were simply following the instructions of the record companies and tv producers back then whose main intention was to "produce a FINELY CRAFTED product that was IDENTICAL to the studio release, hence "Lip Syncing","Guitars NOT plugged in",etc. That was considered PRIDE in craftmanship back then,NOT like now !

It was more than that. Back then, technology was still in an infant stage and there was simply no way to duplicate a live sound versus a recorded one. There was no way to reproduce live performances to time out with television without distortion. Hence, lip synching. Silly, yes. . but essential to getting a definitive sound. .and look. . from the artists.

She admitted to being bi-sexual and doesn't have anything to do with her soulful, sultry, sexy singing voice and as one person said technology at that time was in it infancy. There was no miming and the music was great. Another one of the great dying way to young. She died from breast cancer. Thanks Dusty. Rock On and Rest In peace. MIcheline Kribs, Rolla,MO

because she said in an interview she sings from the soul from the heart.....and she never loved a man it just makes it seem a little sad ...and everyone knows she was gay ...bi was just to make it easier for everyone :)

Right. I figured that with out reading your comment. People fear common sense. Gezz. It's good you broke it down, and very well I may add. Happy New Year! I freaking love this song.
